Hello,
Welcome to Big Minds, Little Hands Daycare. I (Miss. Aleya) am the director of the center. As the director I am working on a associates in Early Childhood Development. As well I have been working with small children for six years. This letter provides information that might be helpful to you.

We believe that we need to help children build a firm foundation for life through hands on experiences, strong relationships, and a healthy environment. In order to accomplish our goals we found that Erik Erikson's stages would best fit for us through relationships. This also ties into our Bank Street Model which goes much deeper and wider in what children learn through hands on experiences.

We believe play is highly needed in a childs life. Through play they get to discover new things versus a teach telling them about it and bounding rules on how to use a toy or other object. We believe there should be a healthy balance of child and teacher guided play.

​In order to keep a healthy and safe environment we do fire, tornado, and intruder drills. As well we have a check-in and check-out process so only authorized people can drop off and pick up your child. If something were to happen to your child we'd contact authorities and you as soon as possible.We also have a consistent schedule which helps the classroom environment stay calm and put together.
